Robert L. "Roddy" Jones Endowed Scholarship

Established in 2001 by Robert L. (Roddy) Jones of Raleigh, Chairman of Tri Properties, to establish endowed scholarships for the hotel and restaurant management program. As a director of Progress Energy Foundation, Mr. Jones designated $100,000 of the Directors Educational Contribution Plan to Wake Technical Community College Foundation for the scholarship program. Income from the endowment is used annually to fund scholarships for the hotel and restaurant management and hospitality management curriculums. Scholarship values may vary annually as a result of investment performance.
