Cheryl Ward CMA Program
Cheryl Ward worked for several years in retail and clerical jobs, gradually saving enough money to be able to take 18 months off and retrain as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). She graduated from the Wake Tech Medical Assisting Program in 1999. She earned her CMA certification and worked in medical practices for 20 years before retiring in 2018. She was very well respected by her colleagues and co-workers. She took great pride in her profession, and supported it by serving on a committee reviewing questions for the certification exam of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
This scholarship is provided in memory of Cheryl.
