The Mungo Homes Foundation Scholarship was established to support and inspire the next generation of professionals entering the homebuilding industry. We believe it is important to invest in students who are passionate about building communities, creating opportunities for homeownership, and shaping the future of housing. Through this scholarship, we aim to remove financial barriers and encourage students pursuing careers in construction, real estate, and related fields. This initiative reflects Mungo Homes’ ongoing commitment to not only building homes, but also building futures.

The PCEA Tim Harward Memorial Scholarship, funded by the PCEA , has been endowed to create a permanent scholarship for Wake Tech students who seek a career in engineering and technology, specifically those in the applied engineering and design and skilled trades and construction departments, which include: architectural technology, civil/mechanical/electrical engineering, geomatics, construction management, air conditioning/HVAC, electrical systems, facility maintenance, plumbing, and welding.

This scholarship was established in 2025 by the Alfred and Marybeth Childers Foundation in memorial of Thomas Jacoby. Thomas graduated from Athens Drive High School in Raleigh in 2017. He went on to pursue his passion for emergency medical services. As an EMT , Thomas was known for his compassionate heart and deep commitment to helping others in their most vulnerable moments. He also worked as a Pediatric Autism Behavioral Technician where his natural ability to connect with children – especially those with special needs – shone brightly. Tommy was born with a mental disability and lived with his mother his whole life. He persevered through many challenges and worked hard as a dishwasher at a non-profit, but also volunteered his time with his church and a local NC food bank. The scholarship is for a student who plans to work hard to make the world a better place, preferably in the Construction and Maintenance Career field. Preference is for a student who is a veteran or from a military family.

Established in 2014, the TowneBank Scholarship will be awarded to a student obtaining an associate degree in Business Analytics, Business Administration or Accounting from Wake Technical Community College. Established in 2016 by Southern Fried Agile to provide financial support to those seeking a degree in a computer-related field at Wake Tech Community College. Southern Fried Agile is a nonprofit that hosts two Agile Conferences each year in North Carolina: Southern Fried Agile in Charlotte and TriAgile in Raleigh. The goal of our conferences is to bring together people from all disciplines within the Information Technology sector and beyond to share their passion, knowledge, experiences and ideas on using Agile within their organization and personal life. The UNC Rex Healthcare Excellence in Care Scholarship was established in 2017 to recognize high achieving students who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in care within their field of study: Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, Radiography and Pharmacy Technology. UNC Rex Healthcare is committed to providing the highest quality of care for their patients and families and they wish to recognize and support students who share this commitment to quality.
