The Sam Taylor Memorial Scholarship will be open to Biotechnology AAS and Biopharmaceutical Technology programs at Wake Tech. The Taylor Scholarship will award two (2) $2500 scholarships each of the next 3 years. The intent of the award is to encourage students to enter the field after obtaining their AAS or to transfer to a university and continue their education.

Sassool Mediterranean Café established the Sassool Culinary Arts Scholarship in 2014. “It’s about giving back,” says owner, Mounir Saleh. “Kids are our future. This scholarship is a way to help one achieve his or her goal.” This annual scholarship will assist a full-time second-year student pursuing a Culinary Arts degree at Wake Technical Community College. The recipient will be selected by a committee of representatives from each curriculum division and service area. Established in 2008 with Wake Technical Community College Foundation and the Seby B. Jones Family Foundation, to fund scholarships for part-time construction management technology students.

Established in 2004 by Julian & Elizabeth Bradley, with the NC Community Foundation for Wake Tech Foundation. The income from the endowment is be used to fund a need-based scholarship(s) for nontraditional students who are pursuing job retraining.

Established by Service Roofing and Sheet Metal Company of Garner to fund one scholarship for a student enrolled in the industrial systems technology diploma or associate degree program.

These scholarships, named for S&ME, will be used for students who successfully complete their studies at the Vernon Malone Academy and wish to matriculate to Wake Tech to pursue additional studies. Need based with respect to merit in the Applied Engineering and Technologies disciplines. Preferred focus on Geomatics technology, but open to all AET degrees pending available student.

This endowment is made in memory of Robbie Jones, son of Everette and Gladys Jones of Raleigh, NC and his doctor William Farley, MD. Robbie suffered from kidney disease and eventually failure at the age of 12. His mother gave him a kidney at Medical College of Virginia in 1965. After he rejected that kidney, his father gave him a kidney in 1976 at Duke. He died in 1986. From the age of 3, Robbie was cared for and encouraged by so many wonderful nurses who spent their time and energy helping him adjust and to endure all the hardships he encountered throughout his journey. Established in 2020, the Swagger Boutique Endowed Scholarship is awarded each year to a student with financial need pursuing a degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or any of the Skilled Trades. The owner of Swagger Boutique, Mandy Becker, believes that students should be able to pursue their desires of higher education independent of their financial needs.
