Established in 2015, the Bojangles/Tri-Arc Foods Scholarship is awarded each year to student obtaining a degree from Wake Tech. Tri-Arc Food Systems, Inc. is the owner and operator of one of the largest Bojangles’? franchises in North Carolina and Virginia. For more than 30 years, they have been serving their food fast, fresh and with a smile!

Bonnie Fischer’s Hope for the Future Scholarship was established in 2021 to provide students with financial need access to high quality education and training without accumulating large amounts of debt. These scholarships are available to all students regardless of program of study. Preference for first generation or first in family, but not required.

The Brandecker Mecca Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship established in 2006 by Carol Ann Imbruce Theuer and Richard Theuer in memory of their mothers, to assist students in the English as a Foreign Language program in the pursuit of any degree, diploma, or certificate at Wake Tech Community College. Student must meet the detailed student qualifications and agreement for this scholarship.

Established in 2017, the Brasfield & Gorrie Founder’s Award will be used for Architectural Technology students at Wake Technical Community College. Scholarship awards will be need based with respect to merit and priority given to: Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Equipment Systems Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology.

Established in 2024 to support students pursuing Wake Tech’s Neurodiagnostic Technology ( NDT ) degree who have demonstrated academic promise. Financial need is a requirement with preference given to those who are first in their family to enroll in college. The scholarship may continue during the summer semester and second year of the program if student maintains a C+ (2.5) grade or higher.

Laura Farkas taught history at Wake Tech for nearly eight years and her husband Brian taught Engineering at NCSU for over twenty years. They understand how difficult the pathway from community college to a four year degree can be. That is why the Farkas family teamed up with Wake Tech alumni transfer students to create this new scholarship. It’s geared specifically towards students starting at Wake Tech and seeking a four year degree.

Established in 2017, the BSA Lifestructures Nursing Scholarship will support a need based scholarship, with respect to merit for a student pursuing an associates in nursing degree with the intent of becoming an RN.

The Capital Automotive Group Student Scholarship is funded by the Capital Auto Group Excellence Fund Endowment and supports hard working students in the automotive technology and collision programs at Wake Tech.

This scholarship was established in the memory of Carla Gaye Price (9/9/59 – 11/4/89). Carla, daughter of Carl and Faye Price, brought joy to those who knew her and had a strong will to succeed. She completed her GED at James Sprunt Community College in 1980, despite her handicapping condition. She attended Wake Technical Community College in 1989 in the Computer Operations program. Her accomplishments showed the value of struggle in the face of adversity, and this scholarship in her memory continues her spirit.
