Established in 2026 to support Business Administration and Accounting at Wake Tech Community College.

This scholarship was established to assist a student enrolled in the Criminal Justice Technology program.

Established in 2016, the Martin Marietta Heavy Equipment Endowed Scholarship provides support to students enrolled in Wake Tech’s Heavy Equipment Operators program. Each year, one high-performing student with financial need is selected to receive this endowment-funded scholarship.

The first endowed scholarship to honor a graduate of Wake Technical Community College, the Mary M. Becker Endowed Scholarship for Students in Engineering was established by gifts from friends, family, and business colleagues at Walt Disney World to honor the late Mary M. Becker, a 1984 graduate of the college’s industrial engineering technology program.

Established in 2006 by Mrs. Rebecca Lane Payne to honor long time friend, caregiver, teacher and healer, Maude Williams Griffis, whose dream of being a nurse lead her to devote her life to the care of others regardless of a lack of formal training. With only a third grade education, Mrs. Griffis successfully raised five generations of the Payne family and along the way became the most cherished member of the family. These scholarships are intended to celebrate the spirit, tenacity, compassion and humor with which Mrs. Griffis has lived her life. Scholarships will support tuition, fees and

Theodore F. Mayer, adjunct faculty and advisory board member along with his wife, Lisa D. Mayer, established this scholarship in memory of their youngest son, Andrew Brian Mayer. Andrew was a skilled radiographic technologist who practiced with compassion, care, and concern. It is our hope that the recipients of the Mayer Family Memorial award utilize their skills to provide the highest quality of care with empathy to all they serve.

Established in 2015, and revised in 2023, this scholarship supports students in the Building, Engineering, and Skilled Trades ( BEST ) division at Wake Technical Community College. The preferred focus is on Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or Architecture, but open to all BEST degrees. This scholarship is awarded with respect to both financial need and academic performance.

Established in 2023, this scholarship supports students pursuing a STEM field of study with preference for first generation students pursuing an Associate in Engineering or Associate in Science at Wake Tech Community College.

The McKee Family Foundation Scholarship Established in 2008 by The McKee Family Foundation to assist non-traditional students who have returned to school for job retraining. Eligible students must be pursuing an associate’s degree or college/university transfer degree. Preference is given to students in Wake, Chatham and Johnston Counties. The McKee Family Foundation Medical Office Administration Scholarship Established in 2009 by The McKee Family Foundation to assist non-traditional students pursuing a degree in Medical Office Administration or a certificate in Medical Billing and Coding.
